Meet Our Staff

Registered Dental Hygienist
I started working with Dr. Wootton in 1982, soon after he started the practice. I have had a wonderful opportunity to be a part of the development and growth of this exceptional practice. The high quality care continues on with Dr. Amaya and Dr. Nytko. As a periodontal dental hygienist my goal is to establish genuine, respectful relationships with my patients so that I may provide the oral hygiene treatment they desire and need in a caring, minimal stress environment. I remain passionate about my profession in patient care and being a part of this great team of health care providers.

I received my Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Lane Community College, Eugene, OR, in 1981. I have a Bachelor in Art Degree from JFK University, Orinda, CA, and postgraduate Alternative Practice education at the University of the Pacific, San Francisco, CA.

I have an additional license, and a private practice, as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice (RDHAP). This allows me to provide dental hygiene care to homebound patients, or those in residential facilities, who are unable to access care in the traditional setting.

My husband and I have three grown boys, and Norman, our dog, who is grown (fortunately), but still lives at home! The outdoors is our favorite place when not at work!

Registered Dental Assistant
I am so happy to be part of this amazing practice. I get to work with great coworkers and doctors in a field that is interesting and fun. I really enjoy all our wonderful patients that we get to care for.

I first came to the practice in 1991. After 15 years, I took a 10-year detour to work in pediatric dentistry. I am so happy to have had that experience, but even more happy to be back to this practice doing more of what I love.

When not at the office, I enjoy the outdoors - hiking, biking, going to the beach, gardening, working out, eating and hanging out with friends.

Dental Assistant

Financial & Surgical Coordinator
I feel really blessed to be part of such a great team. I have been an RDA for over twenty years and bringing that experience with me to Dr. Amaya and Dr. Nytko's practice helps me to better understand our patient's needs. It is very rewarding when I can help guide our patients through the very complicated dental insurance process.

When not working, I can be found at one of the many hiking trails in Marin and love to spend time with the love of my life...Buddy XO (my Tabby cat).‚Äč

Practice Relations Coordinator
I started working for Dr. Wootton and Dr. Amaya in 2010 as a temporary schedule coordinator, covering for a friend's maternity leave. After she returned I wasn't ready to exit just yet and the treatment coordinating position became available. Six years later I'm still here and love coming to work.

I enjoy meeting the new faces that come through the door, as well as maintaining the long-term relationships with others. If I'm not at the office you can usually find me outdoors hiking, exploring, or wine tasting with friends. The wine tasting, however, has been put on a temporary hold, as my husband and I are expecting our first child this December!

Practice Relations Coordinator
I moved to Marin County 5 years ago from Los Angeles where I grew up. I began working for Dr. Amaya and Dr. Wootton back in 2013 for about a year. After a little hiatus from the work field, I rejoined the new team of Dr. Amaya and Dr. Nytko in 2016 and I am thrilled to back!

I am very fortunate to work with such a diverse and talented group of individuals in this highly specialized practice. I enjoy working with other dental practices, whereby in building strong relationships and productive partnerships, we provide our patients with comprehensive, quality care. Giving our patients our very best is our highest priority and I feel really good to be a part of that experience.

I am active in the local schools where my children attend, I LOVE playing soccer and doing anything that involves spending time with my loved ones.

Scheduling Coordinator
I am so lucky to be part of such an amazing team. I have been working in the dental field for over 5 years now. I have experience as an RDA which I find helpful for understanding the different aspects of dentistry. I enjoy interacting with patients and building a relationship with them. They really do brighten up my day.

On my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping and working out!

Administrative Assistant
I started working with Dr. Wootton and Dr. Amaya in 2009 as the Scheduling Coordinator. After several years working full time at the front desk, I moved to the part time Administrative Assistant position. I'm married and have two young children at home. As a family, we stay very busy with sports and other outdoor activities.

I graduated from Sonoma State University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies.
